Pittsfield Thanksgiving Tournament

At Voshall Gym, Pittsfield, Ill.

Liberty 77, Payson Seymour 59: In the championship game, the Eagles’ Cannen Wolf buried a pair of 3-pointers in the first quarter and Liberty went 7 of 8 from the free-throw line in the second quarter to build a 12-point halftime lead and finish the week 3-0 with the title.

Wolf led the Eagles with 16 points, while Logan Robbins and J.T. Tenhouse had 12 points apiece. The Eagles went 16 of 20 from the free-throw line, going 7 of 9 in the fourth quarter. Bryan Dieker led Payson with 21 points, while Trey Johnson added 15.

Petersburg PORTA/A-C Central 44, Pittsfield 35: The Bluejays outscored the Saukees 16-3 at the free-throw line, knocking down 6 of 9 in the fourth quarter to finish off the victory in the third-place game. Carter Klatt led Pittsfield with nine points, while T.J. Reel added eight.

Central 65, Western 19: Nick Moore made four 3-pointers and led the Panthers with 16 points, while Keaton Dickhut added 12 points. Central led 39-13 at halftime.

Beardstown Tiger Classic

At Beardstown, Ill.

Unity 60, Beardstown 49. The Mustangs improve to 2-1 and will face Brown County in the third-place game art 2 p.m. Saturday.

At Mount Sterling, Ill.

Jacksonville Routt 61, Liberty 28: The Rockets built a 33-20 halftime lead and then held the Eagles to one point in the third quarter. Grace Heneicke led Liberty with 12 points.

West Prairie 40, Pleasant Hill/Western 31: The Wolves were held to one field in the first quarter and never recovered, falling to 0-4 in the tournament. Ava Wombles led Pleasant Hill with 13 points.
