Quincy University 13, Lewis 0: The Hawks wasted no time rebounding from Friday’s series-opening loss by shellacking the Flyers from the start. Lance Logsdon led off the game with a home run and added a two-run single later in the inning as the Hawks staked right-handed starter Jay Hammel to a 6-0 lead before he took the mound. Quincy tacked on four more runs in the third inning, highlighted by Sam Martinez’s RBI double. The Hawks finished with 15 hits as five starters collected two hits apiece. That was more than enough for Hammel, who threw five scoreless innings and allowed just two hits. He struck out eight and walked one.

Zach Parks drew a run-scoring walk and Luke Napleton forced in another run when he was hit by a pitch. Logsdon had an RBI groundout in the sixth, and the Hawks plated another run in the seventh on a bases-loaded walk.
