QUINCY — Addi Zanger is about to have more free time than she’s ever experienced.

After playing two sports throughout high school and helping coach youth softball as well, the recent Quincy Notre Dame graduate heads to the University of Missouri with no preseason practices to attend and no defined schedule that includes matches, games and workouts.

Instead, she’ll begin her pursuit of a career in media, a task she began this summer when she joined the Muddy River Sports staff.

Zanger joined Muddy River Sports Editor Matt Schuckman on the tailgate of his pickup before heading off to Columbia, Mo., and the world’s oldest and finest journalism school to discuss the transition from high school student-athlete to college student for this episode of “Schuck on a Truck,” brought to you by Area Distributors.
