Schuck on a Truck: WWE Hall of Famer Jeff Jarrett discusses bringing summer baseball back to Quincy
QUINCY — A chance meeting between two guys with an eye for the dramatic and a flair for putting on a show led to a partnership that is going benefit baseball fans in Quincy.
WWE Hall of Fame wrestler and promoter Jeff Jarrett is part of the ownership group of the Quincy Baseball Club, which will make its debut in the Prospect League in 2025. Jarrett and Jamie Toole, president and chief storyteller for Golden Rule Entertainment, were in Quincy on Friday for a press conference making the return of summer collegiate baseball to Quincy a reality.
The team, which will hold a name-the-team contest in the coming weeks at quincybaseball.com, will begin play in May 2025.
Jarrett took time before heading to a wrestling event in Dallas to join Muddy River Sports Editor Matt Schuckman on the tailgate of his pickup to discuss summer baseball and wrestling for this episode of “Schuck on a Truck,” brought to you by Shottenkirk Toyota.
