QUINCY — Tim Schrage knows the game. Not only has he been a lifelong golfer and contender in the Quincy men’s city golf championships, but he spent 11 seasons as the head men’s golf coach at Culver-Stockton College.

So when Quincy native Luke Guthrie needed a caddy for last week’s Korn Ferry Tour event — the Memorial Health Championship — in Springfield, Ill., he reached out to Schrage. Guthrie finished tied for 28th at Panther Creek Country Club with Schrage on his bag all four rounds.

Back to work this week at his full-time job — he is a sales manager for Refreshment Services Pepsi — Schrage took time out of his day to join Muddy River Sports Editor Matt Schuckman on the tailgate of his pickup to discuss the experience for this episode of “Schuck on a Truck,” brought to you by Shottenkirk Toyota.
