QUINCY — Want to know which of the five starting offensive linemen for the Quincy High School football team is the strongest? What about the cleanest? Or maybe you’re curious where they like to eat as a group, considering their camaraderie extends beyond the gridiron?

They’ll tell you. They’ll smile and laugh while doing it, too. But make no mistake, when this group of five — left tackle Todd Smith, left guard Chris Flachs, center Owen Zanger, right guard Cole Wagy and right tackle Conner Cox — hit the field, the jovial nature gets left in the locker room.

The linemen’s tenacity and aggressiveness are key components to arguably the best offensive attack in the Western Big 6 Conference and a 3-0 record for the state-ranked Blue Devils. The linemen joined Muddy River Sports editor Matt Schuckman on the tailgate of his pickup to discuss their bond and their effort for this episode of “Schuck on a Truck,” brought to you by Area Distributors.
