Ten walks, five with bases loaded, help Canton baseball team come from behind to edge Central

CANTON, Mo. — Four bases-loaded walks in the bottom of the sixth inning helped the Canton baseball team erase a two-run deficit and come from behind to defeat Central 7-5 on Tuesday afternoon.
Bleu Taylor sealed the victory for the Tigers, retiring the Panthers in order in the top of the seventh. The victory was the third straight for Canton (10-4). Central (7-15) has lost five of its last six games.
With one out in the sixth, Jayden Shuman collected his second hit of the game. Kaden Oliver, Preston Brewer and Drew Gottman all drew walks to force in a run. After Brett Eisenreich popped out to Central catcher Luke Ippensen, Ian Burbridge, Taylor and Drew Logsdon all drew walks to force in three more runs.
Brewer singled in the bottom of the fifth, then scored after Gottman, Eisenreich and Burbridge all walked. Canton’s other scoring game in the fourth when Cameron O’Brien hit a two-run homer.
Luke Huston, Jace Howe and Caleb Petersen each had two hits for Central, which outhit Canton 11-6, and Kolin Bockhold had two RBIs. However, four Panthers pitchers combined to walk 10 batters.
