CLOPTON, Mo. — A quick turnaround did not bother the Quincy Notre Dame baseball team.

Less than 15 hours after a 10-2 road loss to Illini West, the Raiders made the 75-minute drive to Clopton for a doubleheader beginning at 10 a.m. Saturday. QND combined for 22 runs in two games, defeating Clopton 13-6 and Harrisburg 9-2.

Abram Wiewel belted his eighth home run in the opener, capping a five-run fifth inning that gave the Raiders a 10-5 lead. The Raiders manufactured five runs in the third to take a 5-0 lead before Clopton rallied for three runs in the third and two in the fourth. Wiewel, Rowan Stegeman, Bradi Lahr and Oliver Triplett each had two hits.

The Raiders picked up where they left off in the second game, scoring multiple runs in each of the first four innings. Stegeman, Logan Sutton and Kaden Marth all went 2 for 3, with Marth collecting a double and a triple. The bottom four hitters in the Raiders’ lineup each had an RBI.

The Raiders (12-6) will make the short trek to Mendon to take on Unity on Monday.
