CONCORD, Ill. — The Pittsfield baseball team wasn’t going to be denied its 20th victory.

Trailing Triopia 2-1 entering the fourth inning, the Saukees took the lead with a four-run frame and then cemented their 14-3 victory with a nine-run outburst in the fifth inning. The victory improved the Saukees to 20-10, marking their fourth straight season with at least 20 victories.

Singles by Clayton Reinhardt and Tim Hull leading off the fourth inning got the ball rolling for Pittsfield, and Lane Foster reached on an error to plate the first run. After both runners advanced on a wild pitch, Draven Puterbaugh reached on an error, allowing Hull to score. Carter Frazier’s single and Luke Saxe’s sacrifice fly plated the other runs.

In the fifth, Hayden Gratton singled leading off, stole second and scored on Reinhardt’s double to get the carousel going. Hull had an RBI double and run-scoring single in the frame, while Gratton also had an RBI single.

Hull finished 3 for 4, while Gratton, Reinhardt, Foster and Frazier each had two hits. Hull struck out four in 2⅔ innings of work, while Reinhardt struck out two and allowed one unearned run in the other 2⅓ innings.
