Patton records hat trick, Stratton adds two goals and three assists as QND girls soccer rolls in Iowa

BURLINGTON, Iowa — Makayla Patton recorded a hat trick, and Sage Stratton tallied two goals and three assists as the Quincy Notre Dame girls soccer team trounced Burlington Notre Dame 8-2 on Tuesday.

Patton got the scoring started three minutes into the game and netted two goals five minutes apart in the second half, the second of which gave QND a 6-1 lead.

Stratton had a goal and an assist in the first half. She assisted on Patton’s third goal and notched an assist when Ellison Barnes got on the end of a Stratton corner to extend QND’s lead to 7-1. Stratton scored the Raiders’ final goal three minutes later.

Lilly Schutte and Sierra Thomas also scored for QND. The Raiders (9-5-1) will participate in the Chatham Glenwood Tournament beginning Friday.
