Palmyra needs only three innings to score 22 runs, ends Clarence Cannon Conference play with 5-1 record
SHELBINA, Mo. — The Palmyra baseball team took advantage of 15 walks and 10 hits to score 22 runs in a 22-0 victory over South Shelby on Thursday afternoon.
Palmyra (11-9) finished Clarence Cannon Conference play with a 5-1 record. It plays twice on Friday — at 4 p.m. against Marceline and at 8 p.m. against Highland.
Bryant Horstmeyer was the only Panther to collect two hits. He and Colby Jones both drove in three runs, and Rylan Compton, Raeson Miller and Horstmeyer all scored three times. Palmyra scored seven runs in the first inning, nine in the second inning and six in the third inning to win easily.
