MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. — The Gem City Gymnastics and Tumbling Phoenix (Senior Elite Level 2) squad from Quincy left the U.S. All-Star Federation finals in Myrtle Beach, S.C., with a silver medal on April 5.

Shortly after the competition, however, questions about eligibility and performance discrepancies in the division were raised and a USASF investigation was launched by the organizing body. The Gem City team recently learned it was named the national champion in its division.
