C-SC volleyball team already has tripled victory total from 2020

CANTON, Mo. — The Culver-Stockton College women’s volleyball team earned its second Heart of America Athletic Conference victory with a 25-12, 25-12, 29-27 decision over Graceland University Tuesday night at Charles Field House.

The Wildcats, who have won two straight matches, improve to 6-10, 2-3 in the conference. C-SC already has equaled the number of Heart victories that it had last season in Wildcats coach Lauren Eldridge’s first season, and it has tripled the number of overall victories. Graceland falls to 1-12, 0-5 in the league.

Madison McClain picked up another double-double with 10 kills and 10 digs to lead the Wildcats. She also added three block assists. McClain registered a .207 hitting percentage.

Heleine Filipe added five kills despite playing in just two sets. She had a .250 hitting percentage with five kills on 12 attempts and two errors. Ali Scott had a .375 hitting percentage with three kills on eight attempts. Scott also led the defense with five blocks. Veiauna Herman added eight digs along the back line.
