At The Pit, Quincy

Quincy Notre Dame d. Payson Seymour: The Raiders rolled to their 11th straight victory, winning 25-9, 25-14. Abbey Schreacke with nine kills for QND, which is 11-0.

At Mendon, Ill.

Unity d. Beardstown: Ashlynn Arnsman had six kills, 11 service points, five aces and four blocks in leading the Mustangs to a 25-6, 25-19 victory. Caroline Knox added 11 service points, seven aces and four kills, while Brooklyn Stiefel had six kills and seven digs. The Mustangs are 6-3.

Girls Tennis

At Alton, Ill.

Quincy Notre Dame 8, Alton Marquette 1: The Raiders won four of their five singles matches in straight sets and split two tiebreackers to win the dual. At No. 4 singles, QND’s Ava Jacobsen won 6-4, 0-6, 10-7. At No. 6, Addi Zanger picked up a 6-0, 6-0. At No. 1 doubles, Lia Quintero and Olivia Ley won 8-1.

Girls Golf

At Gold Hills Golf Course, Colchester, Ill.

Macomb Quadrangular: Quincy Notre Dame’s Hana Knuffman was co-medalist with a 38 as the Raiders edged Macomb for the team title. QND posted a 179, followed by Macomb (180), Bushnell-Prairie City (246) and Mercer County (256). 

At Norwoods Golf Course, Hannibal, Mo.

Hannibal Quadrangular: Hannibal picked up its first victory of the season with a 221 total, followed by Fulton (235), Moberly (249) and Mexico.

Prep Softball

At Veterans Complex, Hannibal, Mo.

Clark County 14, Hannibal 4: The Indians scored three runs in the top of the first inning and in five of the remaining six innings to upend the Pirates. Hannibal’s Chloe Simms went 3 for 3 with a double, a triple and two runs scored, while Alaina Pfeifer had two hits and Alyssa Hart drove in two runs.

Men’s Soccer

At Belleville, Ill.

John Wood Community College 2, Southwestern Illinois College 1: Rondaine Lewis set up both of Sam Aouati’s goals — one in each half — as the Trail Blazers picked up the victory. JWCC is 3-4-2.

At Davis Field, Fayette, Mo.

Central Missouri 5, Culver-Stockton 0: The Eagles, ranked No. 2 in the NAIA national poll, piled up 24 shots in winning the Heart of America Athletic Conference opener. CMU lead 4-0 at halftime. The Wildcats managed just five shots, falling to 2-3 on the season.

Women’s Soccer

At Davis Field, Fayette, Mo.

Central Methodist 1, Culver-Stockton College 0: The Eagles, ranked No. 8 in the NAIA national poll, scored on a penalty kick in the 76th minute to win the Heart of America Athletic Conference opener. The Wildcats were outshot 18-5, but goalkeeper Trinity Register made two saves. C-SC is 4-2 overall.

Women’s Volleyball

At Student Activity Center, Quincy

Heartland d. John Wood Community College: The Trail Blazers committed 18 blocking errors in a 25-20, 25-20, 25-15 loss. Abby Coonrod had six kills for JWCC, while Isadora Gasparini had 22 assists and nine digs. The Trail Blazers are 8-4.
