Class 2A Maroa-Forsyth Regional
Williamsville 6, Pittsfield 4: A five-run third inning by the Bullets put the Saukees in a bind, and they couldn’t complete the rally before falling in the regional semifinals. Trailing 5-0, Pittsfield plated two runs in the bottom of the third with Nate Daniel and Justin Pennock delivering back-to-back RBI doubles. The Saukees scored twice more in the fifth with Caden Casto collecting an RBI single and Konner Allen plating a run with a sacrifice fly. Williamsville tacked on a run in the sixth, and Pittsfield stranded a runner in each of the final two innings. Nate Scranton and Pennock each had two hits for the Saukees, who finish with a 21-6 record.
At Mount Sterling, Ill.
Class 1A Brown County Regional
Brown County 10, Liberty 0: Gabe Blakeley didn’t give the Eagles a chance. The Hornets senior right-hander tossed a six-inning no-hitter to vault the top-seeded Hornets into the regional championship game. Blakeley struck out 13 and walked one, facing only one batter over the minimum. He benefited from the Hornets grabbing the lead in the second inning. With one out, Eathan Howell singled and Tyce Fullerton walked. Tate Fullerton, who was running for Howell, went to third on a wild pitch and stole home. Gavin Montgomery followed with an RBI single, and Colby Wort completed the three-run frame with a two-out RBI single. Brown County tacked on two runs in the fourth, one in the fifth and four in the sixth to end it. Wort and Howell both had two hits, and Maverick Henry drove in three runs. Brown County is 23-4.

Western 7, Payson Seymour 0: Skylar Bainter tossed a two-hit shutout, while the Wildcats’ offense came to life with 19 hits in the regional semifinal. Bainter struck out 13, walked one and two singles allowed. She also went 4 for 5 with two runs scored. Racheal McMullen went 4 for 5 with three RBIs for Western and five other players had two hits apiece. The Wildcats (10-10-1) will face top-seeded Brown County in the regional championship.
