Monroe City 42, Palmyra 23: The tempo favored fourth-seeded Palmyra until top-seeded Monroe City got stingy and Joshua Talton got rolling. Monroe City, which led the semifinal matchup 17-13 at halftime, allowed just 10 second-half points and did not give up a field goal in the fourth quarter. Talton, the senior guard, scored 15 of his game-high 19 points in the second half. Carson Hicks led Palmyra with six points.

Canton 64, Mark Twain 55: Canton’s Dalton Berhorst scored his 1,000th career point in the consolation bracket victory. LaKoda Preston led Mark Twain with 17 points and Sam Northcutt added 16.

Palmyra 47, Highland 43: Trailing by five points heading to the fourth quarter of the tournament semifinal, the Panthers’ Clare Williams scored six points in the final frame to spark a 17-8 run that carried Palmyra into Saturday’s title game. Williams led the Panthers (11-5) with 12 points and Sydney Compton added 11. Ansley Bringer led the Cougars with 14 points.

Van-Far 42, Mark Twain 34: A 16-point third quarter carried the Indians to the victory in the consolation bracket. Anna Echternacht led the Tigers with 11 points and Autumn Arndt added 10 points.
