At Uhland Farms, Liberty, Ill.

West Central Conference Championships: Quincy Notre Dame senior Teresa Drotar was the only runner in the girls race to break 21 minutes and the Raiders had four of the top six runners to win the WCC title. Drotar took first in 20 minutes, 45.4 seconds, while Abigail Genenbacher was second in 21:09.5. Makayla Patton was fourth in 21:21.2 and Natalie Farah was sixth in 21:54.4.

Liberty’s Arianna Neisen was third individually, finishing in 21:12.6, while Larissa Neisen was eighth in 23:21.8.

In the boys race, West Hancock senior Miles Sheppard broke the course record with his winning time of 15:08.8. Liberty’s Cannen Wolf was third in 17:11, while QND freshman Joe Warning was seventh in 17:46.6. Liberty’s Luke Obert (18:35.0) and Devon Funk (18:35.9) were eighth and ninth respectively.

Boys Soccer

At Flinn Stadium, Quincy

Quincy High School 2, Geneseo 1: The Blue Devils guaranteed themselves a share of the Western Big 6 Conference championship by upending the defending champions. Spencer Jenkins gave the Blue Devils a 1-0 lead by scoring off a Carter Venvertloh assist in the first half. Three minutes into the second half, Jackson Richmiller’s rocket shot proved to be the game-winner. The Blue Devils are 10-6-3 overall and 5-1 in the WB6.

At Kirksville, Mo.

Hannibal 1, Kirksville 0: The Pirates and Tigers were scoreless through two overtimes, but Hannibal won a penalty-kick shootout 4-2 to earn the North Central Missouri Conference victory. The Pirates are 10-5-1 overall and 5-1 in the NCMC.

Prep Volleyball

At Greenfield, Ill.

Brown County d. Greenfield-Northwestern: The Hornets remained undefeated in Western Illinois Valley Conference action with a 25-16, 25-15 victory. Katey Flynn led the Hornets with 13 kills, 13 digs and four aces, while Gabby McGath had 24 assists and two aces and Kaci McKeon had 14 digs. The Hornets are 22-3 overall and 6-0 in the WIVC.

At Korf Gym, Hannibal, Mo.

Hannibal d. Mexico: The Pirates used a 25-9, 25-12, 25-10 whitewashing of the Bulldogs to move to 5-0 in the North Central Missouri Conference. Bella Falconer had seven kills and seven digs, Kate Maune had eight kills, six digs and three aces and Nora Hark and Ashlyn Hess combined for 23 assists as Hannibal improved to 11-5-4 overall with its fifth straight victory.

At Hamilton, Ill.

West Hancock d. Liberty: Cora Schuette had nine kills and four blocks for the Eagles, who fell 18-25, 25-15, 25-15. Madi Tritsch had seven kills and Taylor Hessling had 10 digs for Liberty.

Girls Tennis

At St. Louis

Class 2 District 3: Hannibal advanced to the district championship with a 5-1 victory over Parkway North. The Pirates face Parkway Central in Chesterfield, Mo., on Wednesday for the district title. After winning three singles matches, Ireland Lomax and Brooklyn Haye cemented the Pirates’ victory with an 8-2 decision at No. 2 doubles. At No. 3 doubles, Lanie Privett and Brynn Burton won 9-7. Lomax, Haye and Burton all won singles matches.

Prep Softball

At Shelbina, Mo.

Highland 3, South Shelby 0: Payton Miller struck out 12, allowed just three hits and walked none in leading the Cougars to the Clarence Cannon Conference victory. Emma Harschberger went 2 for 4 with a triple, a run scored and an RBI for Highland, while Haleigh Winter doubled and scored a run.

At Veterans Sports Complex, Hannibal, Mo.

Kirksville 15, Hannibal 0: Alaina Pfeifer’s one-out single in the bottom of the first inning was the Pirates’ lone hit in the North Central Missouri Conference loss. Seventeen of the Tigers’ 19 hits were singles.

At Kingdom City, Mo.

North Callaway 4, Mark Twain 1: Bronwyn Harding struck out four and allowed three earned runs for the Tigers, while Kenleigh Epperson drove in Mark Twain’s lone run. The Tigers are 7-15 overall.

Women’s Soccer

At Quincy

Kaskaskia Community College 1, John Wood Community College 0: The Trail Blazers fell to 4-6-1 with the loss.

Women’s Volleyball

At Pepsi Arena, Quincy

Quincy University d. Drury: The Hawks bounced back from two Great Lakes Valley Conference on the road last weekend to pick up a 25-18, 20-25, 25-18, 25-21 victory. Emily Rehagen and Emma Wijnbergen had 11 kills apiece for Quincy, while Mattie Norris and Sarah Brown had 10 kills each. Makayla Knoblauch had 39 assists and 22 digs as the Hawks improved to 7-9 overall and 4-4 in the GLVC.

At Charles Field House, Canton, Mo.

Culver-Stockton College d. Peru State: The Wildcats improved to 3-5 in the Heart of America Athletic Conference with a 25-19, 25-21, 25-23 victory. C-SC is 7-12 overall.

Men’s Golf

At Columbia Country Club, Columbia, Mo.

Cougar Classic: Culver-Stockton College finished seventh in the eight-team field with a 649 total for 36 holes. Lars Werny tied for eighth, leading the Wildcats with a 150 total. South Shelby product Kanon Kendrick led Columbia College with a fifth-place finish at 148, while Palmyra product Noah Wilson was sixth for the Cougars at 149.

Women’s Golf

At Columbia Country Club, Columbia, Mo.

Cougar Classic: Culver-Stockton College finished seventh out of seven teams with an 861 total. The Wildcats’ Emily Grodjesck was the only C-SC to break 100 in either round, finishing tied for 26th with a 193.
