Boys Soccer

At Advance Physical Therapy Field, Quincy

Class 1A QND Regional: Top-seeded Quincy Notre Dame opened postseason play with an 11-0 whitewashing of ninth-seeded Abingdon-Avon. The Raiders scored twice in the first seven minutes, piled up eight goals in the first half and had no trouble advancing to the regional championship game.

Tanner Anderson scored two goals and had an assist, Theo Palmer added two goals and Leo Cann had a goal and an assist. Rylan Fischer also scored his first varsity goal. The Raiders are 14-5-3 and will play Monmouth-Roseville for the regional championship at 11 a.m. Saturday at Advance Physical Therapy Field.

At Moberly, Mo.

Hannibal 5, Moberly 4: The Pirates rallied from a 4-2 deficit to earn a North Central Missouri Conference victory. Drew Porter scored two goals for Hannibal, while Bodie Rollins, Colton Dryden and Karson Westhoff each had a goal. The Pirates are 11-5-1 overall and 6-1 in the NCMC.

Girls Golf

At Norwoods Golf Club, Hannibal, Mo.

Class 1 District 1 Tournament: Palmyra finished third in the team standings with a 414 and sent three individuals to the state tournament. Villa Duchesne won the team title with a 371, while Centralia was second with a 393. The Panthers’ Ella Goldinger finished tied for 14th with a 99, while Mallory Comstock shot a 100 and Mallory Sublette posted a 102. They will play at Silo Ridge Golf and Country Club in Bolivar, Mo., on Oct. 18-19.

Girls Softball

At St. Charles, Mo.

Hannibal 6, St. Charles 0: The Pirates opened Class 4 District 4 play with Kylie McAfee throwing a four-hit shutout. She struck out four and walked none. Emilee Wilson went 3 for 4 with an RBI for the Pirates, while Chloe Simms went 2 for 4 with a double and a run scored. The fifth-seeded Pirates (5-19) face top-seeded Warrenton in the semifinals.

Girls Volleyball

At the Pit, Quincy

Quincy Notre Dame d. Pittsfield: The Raiders were pushed to three sets before winning 25-17, 24-26, 25-14. Abbey Schreacke led QND with seven kills, while Payton Willer, Emma Borrowman and Laela Hernandez had four kills apiece. Maggie Drew had 12 assists for QND.

At Mendon, Ill.

Unity d. West Hancock: The Mustangs rallied to win in three sets, pulling away for a 21-25, 25-8, 25-14 victory. Ashlynn Arnsman had 23 service points, six aces and seven kills for the Mustangs, while Brooklyn Stiefel had 16 kills, Kyra Carothers had 14 kills and Taylor Nichols dished out 33 assists.

At Liberty, Ill.

Liberty d. Griggsville-Perry: The Eagles picked up a 25-16, 25-17 victory as Cora Schuette had 10 kills and Maddy Gibbs delivered nine kills. Ally Lefringhouse dished out 30 assists for Liberty.
