Men’s Basketball

At Gaston Arena, Lincoln, Ill.

Culver-Stockton College 78, Lincoln Christian 60: The Wildcats improved to 5-0 with their third consecutive road victory, marking their best start since the 2013-14 season when they won their first seven games. A blistering first half in which C-SC shot 64.8 percent from the field spearheaded this effort.

C-SC led 47-37 at halftime after shooting 54.5 percent from 3-point range over the first 20 minutes. Javon Modester led the Wildcats with 18 points, five rebounds and two assists, while Alonzo Ortiz-Traylor made three treys and scored 16 points and Jalen Blaize added 13 points.

At Fitzsimmons-John Arena, Moberly, Mo.

Moberly 115, John Wood Community College 68: Saint Louis University recruit Sincere Parker lit up the Trail Blazers for 37 points, including 31 points in the first half as the Greyhounds built a 58-31 edge at halftime. Kameron Whiteman made six 3-pointers and scored a career-high 18 points for JWCC, which fell to 2-1.

Women’s Basketball

At Charles Field House, Canton, Mo.

Columbia 67, Culver-Stockton College 52: The Wildcats fell into a double-digit deficit in the first quarter and never recovered in the non-conference loss. Addison Newbon led the Wildcats with 14 points as they shot 30.8 percent from the field and 19.2 percent from 3-point range. C-SC fell to 2-1 overall.
