Hannibal 58, Elsberry 43: Aaris Stolte scored 32 points as the Pirates won their opening game in the Winfield Tip-Off Classic.

At Voshall Gym, Pittsfield, Ill.

Pittsfield 58, Unity 34: Carter Klatt scored 14 points to lead the Saukees, while Ryle Duke had 11 points for the Mustangs.

At Palmyra, Mo.

Palmyra 72, Mark Twain 48: A 24-point third quarter helped the Panthers turn a five-point halftime advantage into a 14-point lead in their home opener. Alex Loman scored eight of his game-high 17 points in the third quarter for Palmyra, while Mason Roberts added 13 points. Lucas McLeod led the Tigers with 15 points.

At Ewing, Mo.

Highland 63, Louisiana 53: Alex Meyer led the Cougars with 20 points and Drew Mallett added 18 as the Cougars won their home opener.

Girls Basketball

At Liberty, Ill.

Central-Southeastern 50, Liberty 18: The Panthers’ 14-point halftime lead grew to 21 after they limited the Eagles to two points in the third quarter. Amanda Stephens led CSE with 13 points, while Lauren Miller added 12 points. 

At Palmyra, Mo.

Palmyra 67, Mark Twain 31: Sophomore forward Candra King led the Panthers with 16 points, while Taytum White and Clare Williams each scored 15 points. Audrey Ross led the Tigers with a game-high 20 points.

At Ewing, Mo.

Highland 63, Louisiana 21: The Cougars raced to a 45-4 halftime advantage, allowing just one field goal in the first half. Ansley Bringer led the Cougars with 20, scoring 16 points in the first half.
