Boys Soccer

At Beardstown, Ill.

Quincy Notre Dame 3, Beardstown 0: The Raiders scored three second-half goals to improve to 2-0. Jakob Vincent scored the first goal before Cayge Hughes made it 2-0 by curling in a corner kick. Ben Frericks finished the scoring with a blast from 18 yards out. Tanner Anderson and Frericks each had assists. Ethan Sparrow recorded the shutout in goal.

Girls Golf

Quadrangular at Westview Golf Course

Quincy High School shot a 157 to take first place. Pittsfield was second at 192, followed by Quincy Notre Dame (198) and West Hancock (248). The Blue Devils’ Saya Geisendorfer took medalist honors with a 35. Blair Eftink shot a 44 for the Raiders, while Bliss Martin posted a 38 for the Titans.

Women’s Soccer

At John Wood Community College

John Wood Community College 2, Scott Community College 1: McKenna Little converted a penalty kick in the 45th minute to give the Trail Blazers the lead for good in their season opener. Alexis Miranda scored JWCC’s first goal in the 12th minute.

Women’s Volleyball

At Charles Field House, Canton, Mo.

Culver-Stockton College defeated Health Science and Pharmacy of St. Louis 25-9, 26-24, 17-25, 25-13 in the Wildcats’ season opener. Madison McClain led C-SC with 18 kills, while Sarah Wells had 20 assists.
