At Advance Physical Therapy Field, Quincy

Quincy Notre Dame 2, Hannibal 0: Freshman midfielder Sage Stratton scored goals two minutes apart in the first half to extend the Raiders’ unbeaten streak to eight straight games. With 12:20 remaining in the first half, Stratton hit a shot from roughly 35 yards that carried over the defense and beat Pirates keeper Ava Turner. With 10:14 to go, Stratton scored again, converting a cross from Annie Eaton when Stratton found herself unmarked in front of the net. Sophomore goalkeeper Addison Van Hecke pitched the shutout as QND improved to 5-0-3. Hannibal fell to 6-3.

At Flinn Stadium, Quincy

Quincy High School 8, Galesburg 0: A quick turnaround allowed the Blue Devils to get back to their winning ways. After being shut out in back-to-back games, the Blue Devils overwhelmed the Silver Streaks with sophomore forward Taylor Routh recording a hat trick. Anna Morrison, Kirsten Kramer, Mackenzie O’Brien, Rian Moore and Bri Lannerd each scored a goal for QHS. Sophomore goalkeeper Taylor Fohey and freshman goalkeeper Ashley Walbring combined on the shutout.

At Canton, Mo.

Unity 9, Canton 3: Bryson Muegge and Cody Shaffer both homered as the Mustangs picked up their second victory of the season. Muegge went 2 for 3 with three RBIs, while Shaffer finished 2 for 4. Gavin Koenig picked up the victory as he allowed one earned run and two hits over four innings with five strikeouts.

At Sciota, Ill.

Brown County 16, West Prairie 0: A 10-run second inning and a four-hit shutout thrown by Tyce Fullerton propelled the Hornets to their seventh straight victory. Colby Wort went 2 for 2 with two RBIs for Brown County, while Sam Carr drove in three runs. Brown County had 10 different players collect a hit. Fullerton struck out eight and walked one.

At Carthage, Ill.

Central 21, Illini West 15: Trailing 8-1 after allowing seven runs in the second inning, the Panthers rallied to tie the game at 12 and force extra innings. Nine runs in the top of the ninth gave Central the victory. Keaton Dickhut went 4 for 5 with a double, three runs scored and five RBIs for the Panthers, while Brydon Allison went 3 for 5 with a double, a home run, three runs scored and two RBIs. Drake Mudd led the Chargers, going 3 for 5 with a home run and four RBIs, while Shawn Watkins went 2 for 4 with a triple, a home run and three RBIs.

At Payson, Ill.

Payson Seymour 13, Southeastern 9: The Indians scored five runs in the fourth inning and five more in the sixth to take the lead. Tyler Barker went 2 for 4 with two doubles and three RBIs for Payson, while Aiden Perry and Ben Perrine each drove in two runs. Griffin Tippey went 2 for 4 with a double and two RBIs for Southeastern, while Danny Stephens tripled and scored three runs.

At Monmouth, Ill.

West Hancock 13, Monmouth-Roseville 3: The Titans scored four runs in the third inning and four again in the fifth to take control. Jakeb Martens went 2 for 4 with three RBIs for West Hancock, while Tyler Fortado went 2 for 4 with three runs scored. Bryan Gerhardt, Colin LeMaire and Alec Hymes also had two hits apiece as the Titans improved to 4-0.

At Rushville, Ill.

Quincy Notre Dame 8, Rushville-Industry 1: The Raiders stayed undefeated ahead of Wednesday’s showdown with Brown County as Eryn Cornwell and Lindsey Fischer both hit home runs. Cornwell earned the victory, improving to 5-0 while the Raiders sit at 6-0.

At Barry, Ill.

Brown County 6, Western 2: Makenna Post allowed two runs and three hits over 5 ⅓ innings as the Hornets won their eighth straight game. Post struck out four and walked three. Cortni Law went 2 for 4 with a double and three RBIs for Brown County, while Katey Flynn went 2 for 4 with a double and two runs scored. Klare Flynn also had two hits.

At Carthage, Ill.

Central 8, Illini West 5: The Panthers scored five runs in the top of the sixth inning to build an insurmountable lead. Karlee Marlow went 3 for 3 with two runs scored for the Panthers, while Karly Peters went 2 for 4 with a double, two runs scored and two RBIs and Lauren Miller finished 2 for 4. 

At Liberty, Ill.

Triopia 5, Liberty 1: The Eagles scratched across a run in the second inning to cut their deficit in half, but they managed just five hits in the loss. Natalie Hildebrand went 3 for 3 with a double and a run scored for Liberty, while Tiffanie Will went 2 for 3.

At Norwoods Golf Club, Hannibal, Mo.

Hannibal Quadrangular: Quinn Thomas and Ashlin Sharkey were the only players in the field to make a birdie as they powered the Pirates tied South Shelby at 166. Bowling Green shot a 178 and Louisian finished at 224. Thomas took medalist honors with a 1-under 35, while Coourtland Watson shot a 41 for Hannibal. Dax Durbin led South Shelby with a 39.

At Jackson Park Golf Course, Palmyra, Mo.

Palmyra Triangular: Palmyra shot a 178 to distance itself from Monroe City (188) and Highland (189). Aaron Ritchey led Palmyra with a 41.

At Timber Ridge Golf Course, Memphis, Mo.

Scotland County Triangular: Canton posted a 180 team score to snare the victory, while Scotland County posted a 199 and Schuyler County shot a 235. The Tigers’ Trevor Biggerstaff earned medalist honors with a 38, while Avery Uhlmeyer posted a 45.

Boys tennis

At Greeman Tennis Center, Quincy

Quincy High School 9, Galesburg 0: The Blue Devils won every match in straight sets and dropped only 12 games total in the six singles matches. Gavin Wong at No. 1 singles and Will Hanlin at No. 3 both won 6-0, 6-0, while Preston Trinh at No. 6 enjoyed a 6-1, 6-0 victory. The Blue Devils lost no more than two games in any doubles match. QHS is 2-1 in duals this season.
