Quincy Notre Dame 2, Rochester 0: Tanner Anderson scored with nine minutes remaining in the first half and converted a penalty kick with five minutes remaining in regulation as the Raiders picked up the shutout victory. Ethan Sparrow and Max Frericks combined on the shutout. QND is 9-2-3.

Girls Tennis

At Reservoir Park, Quincy

Quincy Notre Dame 9, Jacksonville 0: The Raiders didn’t lose more than two game in any set in the sweep. Addi Zanger at No. 5 singles and Alyssa Ley at No. 6 singles each lost only one game. Lia Quintero and Evie Schuetz each lost only two games.

Girls Volleyball

At Carthage, Ill.

Quincy Notre Dame d. Illini West: Abbey Schreacke, Avery Keck and Emma Hoing each had five kills as the Raiders rolled to a 25-8, 25-22 victory. Annie Eaton had 13 assists as QND improved to 16-1.

At Carrollton, Ill.

Brown County d. Carrollton: The Hornets stayed undefeated in Western Illinois Valley Conference play with the 25-15, 25-21 victory. Katey Flynn had 13 kills and seven digs, while Klare Flynn had eight kills and Gabby McGath had 32 assists. The Hornets are 12-3 overall.

At Liberty, Ill.

West Hancock d. Liberty: The Titans picked up a 28-26, 25-22 victory, while Cora Schuette led the Eagles with 11 kills and Taylor Hessling had nine digs.

At Kirksville, Mo.

Hannibal d. Kirksville: The Pirates improved to 2-0 in the North Central Missouri Conference with the 25-23, 21-25, 25-11, 25-16 victory. Bella Falconer had 20 kills and 15 digs, while Kate Maune had 12 kills and seven digs and Annie Wagner had 27 digs. The Pirates are 6-5-1 overall.

Prep Softball

At Veterans Sports Complex, Hannibal, Mo.

Canton 15, Hannibal 7: Leading by two runs going into the sixth inning, the Tigers exploded for five runs in the sixth and four more in the seventh to finish the victory. Nariah Clay went 3 for 5 with a double, two triples and five RBIs for Canton, while Chloe Simms went 3 for 3 with three runs scored for Hannibal.

At Lions Park, Monroe City, Mo.

Brookfield 7, Monroe City 3: The Bulldogs scored five times in the fifth inning to secure the Clarence Cannon Conference victory. Carly Youngblood went 1 for 3 with a run scored, an RBI and a triple.

At Center, Mo.

Mark Twain 15, Wellsville-Middleton 0: Bronwyn Harding struck out eight, walked one and did not allow a hit over three innings for the Tigers. Autumn Arndt went 3 for 3 with a triple and three RBIs, while Taylor Martin went 2 for 3 with a double and two RBIs. The Tigers are 6-9 — the most victories they’ve had since 2015.

At Ewing, Mo.

Clark County 5, Highland 4: The Indians rallied with three runs in the top of the seventh to earn the Clarence Cannon Conference victory. Payton Miller went 3 for 4 with a double and two RBIs for the Cougars, while Olivia Ritterbusch also went 3 for 4.

Girls Golf

At Edgewood Golf Course, Auburn, Ill.

Auburn Triangular: Quincy Notre Dame posted a 179 team score, beating Auburn (202) and Petersburg PORTA (245). The Raiders’ Hana Knuffman was medalist with a 39.
