Hannibal 1, Canton 0: The Pirates improved to 6-3 as freshman midfielder Maddox Tharp scored the lone goal.

Boys Golf

At Spring Lake Country Club, Quincy

Quincy Ryder Cup: Quincy High School finished off a victory in the head-to-head matchup with Quincy Notre Dame, totaling 10.5 points. The Blue Devils won the second day of competition 6.5-2.5, starting off by sweeping the best ball matches. QHS’s top two duos — Cameron Bergman and Brady Walker at No. 1, and Luke Mettemeyer and Luke Chevalier at No. 2 — both won 3 & 2. Raulin Zanger and Gabriel Gold won the other team match 2 & 1.

In singles play, QND’s Ross Thompson beat Walker 2 & 1 at No. 1, while the Raiders’ Colin Larson won 3 & 2. Bergman, Mettemeyer, Chevalier and Gold won singles matches for the Blue Devils.

Girls Golf

At Arrowhead Heights Golf Course, Camp Point, Ill.

Quincy Notre Dame d. Central: Hana Knuffman took medalist honors with a 37 as the Raiders posted a 183 team total. The Panthers shot a 214.

Girls Volleyball

At Mount Sterling, Ill.

Quincy Notre Dame d. Brown County: The Raiders improved to 12-0 with a 25-16, 25-16 victory. Abbey Schreacke led QND with seven kills and six blocks. Gracie Hedden had four kills and three digs for the Hornets, who fell to 10-2, while Kaci McKeon had 10 digs.

At Hardin, Ill.

Unity d. Calhoun: Kyra Carothers missed a match earlier in the week due to illness, but she returned to record 10 kills and lead the Mustangs to a 25-17, 25-18 victory. Brooklyn Stiefel had 13 service points and six kills, while Ashlynn Arnsman had seven service points, four aces and three kills. Kylee Barry had nine service points, five kills and three aces as the Mustangs improved to 7-3.

Girls Tennis

At Palmyra, Mo.

Quincy High School 6, Palmyra 3: The Blue Devils won the top three singles matches and finished off the dual by winning the Nos. 2 and 3 doubles matches. QHS is now 5-2. Audra Cain and Amelia Willing picked up an 8-5 victory at No. 2 doubles, while Mackenzie Carter and Lilli Wallace won 8-4 at No. 3. Phoebe and Lily Hayes, Cain and Wallace each won singles matches.

Women’s Volleyball

At Neil Carey Arena, Romeoville, Ill.

Lewis d. Quincy University: The Flyers, ranked 15th in the NCAA Division II national poll, opened Great Lakes Valley Conference play with a 25-21, 25-19, 25-12 victory. The Hawks hit just .125 with 17 attack errors. Emily Rehagen led Quincy with 10 kills, while Makayla Knoblauch had 24 assists and 10 digs. The Hawks are 3-6.

At Charles Field House, Canton, Mo.

Grand View d. Culver-Stockton College: The No. 24 Vikings remained undefeated in the Heart of America Athletic Conference with a 25-19, 25-14, 25-15 victory. Madison McClain and Heleine Felipe had seven kills apiece for the Wildcats, who are 4-9 overall and 1-2 in the Heart.
