At Winchester, Ill.
Brown County 20, Winchester West Central 0: Twice the Hornets hit back-to-back home runs as they steamrolled the Cougars in Western Illinois Valley Conference action. Brown County scored 16 runs in the first inning as the first eight batters reached safely. Gabe Blakeley hit a two-run home run and Mason Henry followed with a solo shot, while Blakeley had a two-run single and another RBI single later in the inning and Eathan Howell ripped a bases-clearing double. In the third inning, Colby Wort and Sam Carr hit back-to-back home runs. Five Hornets starters had two or more hits. Henry allowed two hits over four innings with six strikeouts. The Hornets are 9-0 overall.
At Liberty, Ill.
Unity 8, Liberty 0: The Mustangs’ Cody Shaffer and Aidan Obert combined on the shutout with Shaffer allowing one hit and striking out nine over five innings and Obert allowing one hit with five strikeouts over two innings. Obert also went 3 for 4, while Bryson Muegge went 2 for 3 with a double and three RBIs and Shaffer was 2 for 4. Unity improved to 3-4 overall and 1-1 in the West Central Conference.

At Winchester, Ill.
Brown County 15, Winchester West Central 0: The Hornets scored four runs in each of the first four innings to grab the Western Illinois Valley Conference victory. Cortni Law had RBI doubles in both the first and third innings with Karsyn Moorman delivering an RBI single in the second and an RBI double in the third. Ashlee Markert went 4 for 4 with a double, a home run, three runs scored and three RBIs, while Moorman and Law both went 3 for 4. Makenna Post struck out seven and allowed one hit over five innings. The Hornets are 10-0 overall.
Girls soccer
At Porter Stadium, Hannibal, Mo.
Hannibal 8, Fulton 0: Bella Falconer recorded a hat trick and added two assists as the Pirates rolled to the North Central Missouri Conference victory. The Pirates are 7-3 overall and 5-0 in the NCMC.
College softball
At Himsl Field, Canton, Mo.
Culver-Stockton College 10, Clarke 0: The Wildcats scored five runs in the second inning and three more in the third to take control of the Heart of America Athletic Conference doubleheader, and Emma Roseberry tossed a two-hit shutout. Seven of the Wildcats’ eight hits were singles, and they capitalized on five errors. Roseberry struck out eight and walked none.
Culver-Stockton College 10, Clarke 2: A four-run first inning propelled the Wildcats to the Heart sweep. The Pride committed three errors in the first inning and five overall. Alle Thompson went 2 for 3 with a home run, three runs scored and two RBIs for the Wildcats, while Hailey Akers went 2 for 2 with two runs scored and three RBIs. Makayla Slavik allowed one earned run and six hits over five innings with one strikeout to earn the victory. C-SC is 13-9 overall and 9-9 in the Heart.
Women’s lacrosse
At Spartan Field, St. Louis
Missouri Baptist 15, Culver-Stockton College 0: The eighth-ranked Spartans scored three or more goals in each of the four quarters and limited the Wildcats to only four shots overall. C-SC is 4-7 overall and 3-4 in the Kansas Collegiate Athletic Conference.
