At Burlington, Iowa

Quincy High School 1, Olathe (Kan.) North 1: Blue Devils goalkeeper Taylor Fohey saved a penalty kick in the first half to help QHS forge a tie in the first of three games in the tournament. Bri Lannerd scored off a Rian Moore assist for the Blue Devils’ goal. Quincy is scheduled to play Ankeny (Iowa) and Peoria Richwoods on Friday.

At Porter Stadium, Hannibal, Mo.

Hannibal 8, Mexico 0: Bella Falconer scored three goals as the Pirates won their ninth straight game overall and improved to 8-0 in the North Central Missouri Conference. Abbie Martin scored twice for Hannibal.

At Hamilton, Ill.

West Hancock 8, Central 4: The Titans trailed 4-3 heading to the bottom of the seventh, but after Andrew Harness doubled to drive in the tying run, Luke Jacquot singles and Jakeb Martens was intentionally walked to load the bases. Zane Humphrey followed with a walk-off grand slam to left field. Adam Harness, Colin LeMaire and Humphrey each had two hits for the Titans, while Andrew Harness struck out 11 over 6 ⅓ innings as the Titans improved to 11-4.. Carter Eyler allowed one earned run and five hits over five innings for Central, striking out seven and walking three. The Panthers, who fell to 5-12, were held to just three hits.

At Mount Sterling, Ill.

Brown County 3, Carrollton 2: Trailing 2-0 going to the bottom of the fourth, the Hornets’ Ethan Howell roped a two-out, run-scoring single and Gavin Montgomery scored on an error to tie the game. In the fifth, Brown County took the lead when Colby Wort scored on Gabe Blakeley’s groundout. Mason Henry struck out nine over 5 ⅔ innings, allowing two runs and four walks. Wort worked 1 ⅓ scoreless and hitless innings of relief with two strikeouts. The Hornets were limited to just three hits, but improved to 20-1.

At Payson, Ill.

Pittsfield 13, Payson Seymour 9: The Saukees scored seven runs in the top of the first inning and added four in the sixth to keep the Indians at bay. A two-run double by Konner Allen got the first inning started for Pittsfield, while TJ Reel had a two-run single and Luke Saxe had an RBI single to make it 5-0 before an out was recorded. Nate Scranton added an RBI single. In the sixth, Nolan Daniel had a two-run single. Scranton finished 5 for 5 with two RBIs, while Allen went 2 for 5 and Reel went 2 for 4. Ty Barker had two doubles and two RBIs for Payson, while Cayden Hazelrigg drove in three runs.

At Carthage, Ill.

Macomb 13, Illini West 11: The Chargers scored six runs in the bottom of the sixth and two more in the seventh, but stranded a runner at first when the final out was made. Illini West scored all six runs in the sixth with two outs, highlighted by Bradyn Robertson’s two-run triple. Carter Chapin had an RBI triple in the seventh. Chapin finished 3 for 3, while Drew Dooley, Ethan James and Shawn Watkins each had two hits.

At Beardstown, Ill.

Quincy Notre Dame 14, Beardstown 6: The Raiders loaded the bases in the top of the first inning with three consecutive leadoff singles, scored twice on walks and got an RBI single from Laela Hernandez-Jones and a two-run double from Haley Schertel to take control. The Raiders scored three more times in the second inning with Lindsey Fischer belting a two-run home run. Eryn Cornwell went 4 for 5 with two RBIs, while Schertel went 3 for 3 and Caitlin Bunte and Abbey Schreacke were both 3 for 5. QND is 16-4 overall.

At Mount Sterling, Ill.

Brown County 13, Carrollton 10: The Hornets were one run away from invoking the 10-run rule, then had to survive a seventh-inning uprising in which the Hawks scored six times. Carrollton, which scored two of the six runs with two outs, left a runner stranded on second. The Hornets took control with a nine-run third inning featuring Cyrah Dunlap’s two-run double and Cortni Law’s bases-clearing double. Law finished 3 for 4 with three doubles and five RBIs. Karsyn Moorman and Dunlap each homered for the Hornets, who improved to 22-0.

At Hamilton, Ill.

Central 10, West Hancock 0: The Panthers’ Katie Hildebrand tossed a two-hit shutout, relying on her defense to make plays as she didn’t record a strikeout but had eight groundouts and four flyballs. She benefited from an offense that scored seven runs in the second inning, highlighted by Hildebrand and Carlie Goehl delivering back-to-back RBI singles and Lauren Miller adding an RBI single. Hildebrand and Goehl both went 3 for 4 with Goehl driving in four runs. Central is 14-6 overall.

Central 17, West Hancock 4: The Panthers’ Carlie Goehl went 4 for 4 with two doubles, four runs scored and three RBIs to power an offense that collected 20 hits. Claire Huston went 3 for 4 with two doubles, while Karlee Marlow and Katie Hildebrand each went 3 for 4 with three runs scored. Natalie Eicken and Hildebrand split the pitching duties and combined to strike out five.
