At Brennan Field, Romeoville, Ill.

Quincy University 18, Lewis 4: The Hawks scored six runs in the first inning and six more in the fourth to win their third straight game and capture the Great Lakes Valley Conference series. Leading off the game, Lance Logsdon was hit by a pitch, Gino D’Alessio walked and Dayson Croes was hit by a pitch. Nolan Wosman followed with a grand slam to left field after fouling off three straight pitches. Brock Boynton added an RBI double later in the inning. In the fourth, Zach Parks and Luke Napleton both walked to force in runs, and Boynton was hit by a pitch to force in another. Boynton also had an RBI single in the fifth as he finished 2 for 3. Parks went 3 for 4 with four RBIs, and Wosman was 2 for 3. Right-hander Alex Pribyl allowed three runs and two hits over four innings to earn the victory. He struck out six and walked two. The Hawks are 17-13 overall and 8-4 in the GLVC.

At Penn Field, Oskaloosa, Iowa

William Penn 4, Culver-Stockton College 3: Ronald Applewhite’s two-out double in the top of the seventh allowed the Wildcats to tie the Heart of America Athletic Conference game at 3, but an error, a hit batter and a walk allowed the Statesmen to load the bases with out out before the tying and winning runs scored another C-SC error. Applewhite went 2 for 4 as the Wildcats were held to six hits.

William Penn 8, Culver-Stockton College 7: The Wildcats allowed seven runs in the first inning, trailed 8-2 after three innings and couldn’t complete the rally. After pulling within a run on Collin Hall’s two-run single in the sixth, the Wildcats went down in order in the seventh. Andrew Fay went 3 for 4 with two doubles for C-SC, while Hall drove in three runs.

At Key Stadium, Indianapolis

Indianapolis 17, Quincy University 2: The Greyhounds led 10-0 at halftime and cruised to the Great Lakes Valley Conference victory. Blain Lowrance and Chistian Czamy scored goals for the Hawks.
