QND/Quincy Recycle Tournament at Advance Physical Therapy Field
Quincy Notre Dame 2, Francis Howell 1: Logan Zanger headed in a Cayge Hughes free kick and Tanner Anderson beat the Vikings goalkeeper 1-on-1 for the game-winning goal with 25 minutes to play in the second half.
Quincy Notre Dame 4, Jacksonville 0: Ben Frericks buried a shot from 30 yards out, Tanner Anderson recorded his second hat trick of the season and John Drew had two assists. The Raiders are 4-1 and travel to Hannibal on Tuesday.
Ladue Horton Watkins 1, Quincy High School 1: The Blue Devils lost in a penalty kick shootout. Carter Venvertloh scored for QHS off an assist from Spencer Jenkins.
Francis Howell 5, Quincy High School 0: The Blue Devils fell to 1-2 ahead of Tuesday’s Western Big 6 Conference opener at Rock Island.

15th annual Peoples Bank & Trust Lead-off Classic, Troy, Mo.
Palmyra goes 2-1: After opening with a 6-1 victory over Fort Zumwalt South on Friday, the Panthers suffered a 12-1 loss to Fulton and rebounded with a 5-0 victory over Bowling Green. Jazlin Gottman threw a five-hit shutout against the Bobcats, striking out seven and walking one. Gottman also had two hits in each game Saturday.
Highland goes 1-2: The Cougars scored a 3-2 victory Friday night against Winfield on Kylie Smith’s walk-off single before suffering a pair of losses Saturday — 13-1 to Columbia Battle and 6-3 to Fort Zumwalt South. Emma Harschberger collected five hits in the two losses, while MiKayla Dreyer had three hits against Fort Zumwalt South.
Hannibal goes 1-3: The Pirates lost their first three games of the weekend — 12-0 to Troy Buchanan, 6-2 to Columbia Hickman and 10-1 to Wentzville Liberty — before capping it with a 2-1 victory over Warrenton.

QHS takes fifth: The Blue Devils posted a 315 at Fox Creek Golf Course, four strokes better than the 319 they shot Friday at Oakbrook Golf Course, and finished fifth overall. Cameron Bergman post a 74 on Saturday, while Brady Walker followed Friday’s 74 with a 79.
