At Porter Stadium, Hannibal, Mo.

Chillicothe 3, Hannibal 2: Drew Porter’s goal with 12 minutes remaining in regulation forced overtime, but the Pirates fell in a penalty-kick shootout. Porter scored both goals for Hannibal, converting a DaeShon Glasgow corner kick in the first half and finishing a Glasgow throw-in for the second goal. Chillicothe won the shootout 3-2. Hannibal is 12-6-1 overall.

Girls Volleyball

At White Hall, Ill.

Brown County d. North Greene: The Hornets stayed unbeaten in the Western Illinois Valley Conference with a 25-13, 25-15 victory. Katey Flynn had nine kills and five aces, while Gracei Hedden had eight kills and six digs. Gabby McGath dished out 25 assists. Brown County is 26-3 overall and 8-0 in the WIVC.

At Mexico, Mo.

Hannibal d. Mexico: The Pirates won 25-6, 25-16, 25-18 to set up a matchup Tuesday night at Korf Gym against Kirksville with the chance to win the North Central Missouri Conference title. Bella Falconer led the Pirates with nine kills and three digs, Annie Wagner had eight digs and three aces and Ashlyn Hess had 18 assists.

John Wood Community College 3, Culver-Stockton JV 1: Tristen Terrill, Sam Aouati and Adam Naim scored goals for the Trail Blazers.

Women’s Soccer

At Centralia, Ill.

Kaskaskia 2, John Wood Community College 1: The Trail Blazers lost in overtime. McKenna Little scored the Trail Blazers’ goal off an assist from Madison Meyer.

Men’s Bowling

At Wichita, Kan.

Midstates Championship: Quincy University finished 19th out of 28 teams in its season-opening event with an average score of 178.3. Anthony Lundy led the Hawks with a 191.7 average, while Caden Witt averaged 180.8.
