Quincy Notre Dame 71, Pleasant Hill/Western 17: Abbey Schreacke reached the 1,000-point milestone for her career during a 20-point effort as the Raiders improved to 4-0. Schreacke, a junior guard, is the 15th player in program history to reach the milestone. Blair Eftink led QND with 25 points.

At Camp Point, Ill.

Brown County 44, Central-Southeastern 33: The Hornets went 8 for 8 from the free-throw line in the fourth quarter and were 19 for 24 at the stripe overall. Brown County scored 11 of its 13 second-quarter points at the line. Klare Flynn led the Hornets with 17 points, going 8 for 10 from the line, while Katey Flynn added 11 points. Karlee Marlow led the Panthers with 14 points.

Women’s Basketball

At Pepsi Arena, Quincy

Missouri-St. Louis 61, Quincy University 47: The Hawks were outscored by six points in the first quarter and nine points in the third quarter and couldn’t overcome their offensive struggles in the Great Lakes Valley Conference opener. The Hawks shot 33 percent or worse from the field in both of those quarters and just 39.2 percent overall. They went 2 of 16 from 3-point range. 

Beth Matas Martin led the Hawks (1-5, 0-1 GLVC) with nine points and seven assists, while Marta Rivera and Emma Knipe had nine points and eight rebounds apiece. Quincy committed 17 turnovers, while forcing only nine.

At Ruble Arena, Mount Pleasant, Iowa

Iowa Wesleyan 58, Culver-Stockton College 47: The Wildcats managed just seven points in the fourth quarter and shot just 32.7 percent from the field in the second half of the non-conference game. C-SC (6-2) committed 16 turnovers against 11 assists. Addison Newbon led the Wildcats with 14 points, but went 5 of 15 from the field and 1 of 4 from 3-point range. Kaysie Newson had 13 points for C-SC, but committed six turnovers with just one assist.

Men’s Basketball

At Charles Field House, Canton, Mo.

Culver-Stockton College 77, Iowa Wesleyan 72: The Wildcats improved to 9-0 with a second-half rally. A six-point halftime deficit ballooned to 11 as Iowa Wesleyan’s Kaleb Cresswell scored the first five points of the second half. C-SC took its first lead at 54-53 on Seth Larson’s layup with 8:41 remaining and snared the advantage for good when Alonzo Ortiz-Traylor buried a 3-pointer for a 60-58 edge with seven minutes to play. Jalen Blaize led the Wildcats with 25 points, while Ortiz-Traylor had 18 points and Zac Rzewnicki finished with 15 points and 14 rebounds
