Hannibal 8, Mexico 0: Katie Greening and Bella Falconer each had two goals and an assist as the Pirates earned a North Central Missouri Conference victory. Hannibal is 6-2 overall and 4-0 in the NCMC.

Quincy High School 11, Kirksville 9: An insurmountable lead nearly wasn’t so insurmountable as the Blue Devils were forced to escape the Tigers’ seventh-inning rally despite leading by eight runs early. QHS scored eight times in the bottom of the first, including the final four runs on back-to-back errors. But the Tigers chiseled away at the deficit, capitalizing on eight errors by the Blue Devils. Luke Mettemeyer went 3 for 3 with two doubles for QHS, while Kenny Taylor and Connor Schwindeler had two hits apiece.

At Pittsfield, Ill.

Pittsfield 3, Unity 0: Brennan Tomhave tossed a one-hit shutout as the Saukees improved to 9-1. The sophomore struck out nine and walked two. Caden Casto went 3 for 3 with a double and an RBI for Pittsfield, while Nate Scranton and Tomhave had two hits apiece. Bryson Muegge struck out five and walked two for the Mustangs, while Cody Shaffer’s double was Unity’s lone hit.

At Mount Sterling, Ill.

Brown County 12, Jacksonville Routt 2: Leading 3-2 heading into the fifth inning, the Hornets erupted for nine runs to put a stamp on a 10-run rule victory. Gabe Blakeley went 4 for 4 with two doubles, two runs scored and two RBIs, while Mason Henry went 2 for 3 with two runs scored and two RBIs. Hayden Weise had a bases-clearing double in the fifth. On the mound, Blakeley allowed five hits with five strikeouts and two walks. The Hornets are 6-0.

At Augusta, Ill.

Southeastern 10, Rushville-Industry 8: Trailing 8-4 heading to the bottom of the fifth, the Suns scored six times, highlighted by four consecutive singles, and held on over the final two innings. Danny Stephens, Ramsey Fry and Jarrett Ven Beck each had two hits for the Suns, while Mason Fry allowed one hit over the final two innings to earn the save.

At Carthage, Ill.

Payson Seymour 21, Illini West 2: The Indians scored nine runs in the first inning and seven more in the second, and they capitalized on 15 walks and eight errors committed by the Chargers. Aiden Perry went 3 for 4 with three runs scored and four RBIs for the Indians, while Tyler Barker had a two-run double. Drew Dooley and Logan Kissinger had two hits apiece for the Chargers.

At Bowling Green, Mo.

Bowling Green 5, Palmyra 2: The Bobcats scored three times in the fifth inning, breaking a 2-2 tie and earning the victory. The Panthers were limited to two hits — singles by Ethan Tallman and Jon Lundberg — while Tallman was tagged for four earned runs in 4 ⅓ innings on the mound. He struck out eight and walked four.

At Mount Sterling, Ill.

Brown County 12, Jacksonville Routt 2: The Hornets surrendered two runs in the top of the second, but they responded with a six-run second inning and never trailed thereafter. Brooke Garthaus went 2 for 2 with two doubles for the Hornets, while Ashlee Markert went 2 for 2 with three runs scored and Katey Flynn was 2 for 4 with two RBIs. Taryn Moorman struck out 10 and allowed just two hits for Brown County, which improved to 7-0 overall.

At Payson, Ill.

Payson Seymour 7, Unity 5: The Indians scored three runs in the bottom of the sixth inning to break a 4-4 tie with the first two runs scoring on errors. Kylie Simmons, Jairyn Hinthorns, Hannah Bingaman and Grace Klitz had two hits apiece for the Indians. Kylee Barry went 3 for 3 with a home run for the Mustangs, while Sophia Shaffer and Brooklyn Stiefel had two hits apiece.

At Norwoods Golf Club, Hannibal, Mo.

Hannibal Quadrangular: The Pirates shot a 168 to distance themselves from the field. Macon posted a 185, followed by Missouri Military Academy (226) and Centralia (247). Pirates sophomore Quinn Thomas was medalist with a 2-under 34 and Ashlin Sharkey posted a 40.

At QU Stadium, Quincy

Graceland 5, Culver-Stockton College 0: The Yellowjackets scored in each of the first three innings to kickstart the Heart of America Athletic Conference doubleheader. The Wildcats were limited to six singles with Collin Hall going 2 for 3. Dax Flowerree took the loss, allowing four earned runs and nine hits over 6 ⅓ innings.

Culver-Stockton College 6, Graceland 5: A four-run second inning gave the Wildcats the lead, and they hung on despite the Yellowjackets scoring in each of the final three innings. Collin Hall went 3 for 4 with a home run and two RBIs for C-SC, while Andrew Fay went 2 for 4 with a triple and three RBIs. C-SC is 10-20 overall and 4-12 in the Heart.
