At Dozer Park, Peoria, Ill.

Southeastern 7, Central 2: The Suns scored twice in the first inning, then plated two runs in both the fifth and sixth innings to snare the victory. Owen Rigg scored on a wild pitch and Kyle O’Neal delivered an RBI single in the first, while a groundout and a wild pitch plated runs in the fifth. An error allowed two runs to score in the sixth. The Panthers outhit the Suns 5-4 with Conner Griffin going 2 for 4 and Cole Peterson smacking a double.

At Flower City Park, Palmyra, Mo.

Hallsville 14, Palmyra 3: The Indians scored three times in the first and five times in the third to put away the non-conference victory. The Panthers answered in the first, scoring twice with two outs in the bottom of the frame on a wild pitch and an Ethan Tallman single, but couldn’t respond thereafter. Landyn Smith went 2 for 4 for Palmyra.

At Camp Point, Ill.

Rock Island 4, Central 3: The Rocks scored twice in the top of the fifth to take the lead, but the Panthers cut the deficit in half with a run in the sixth and got a runner to third base in the seventh but couldn’t get the tying run home. Karlee Marlow went 2 for 4 with a run scored and Macie Reuschel went 2 for 3 for the Panthers. Haley Cramer allowed only two earned runs in suffering the loss.

Girls soccer

At Columbia, Mo.

Columbia Rock Bridge 3, Quincy High School 2: Emma Obert scored two goals for the Blue Devils, while Bri Lannerd and Rian Moore each had an assist.

At Porter Stadium, Hannibal, Mo.

Hannibal 3, Kirksville 0: The Pirates won their sixth straight game as Katie Greening scored twice and Bella Falconer added a second-half goal. Hannibal is 12-3 overall and 6-0 in the North Central Missouri Conference.
