At Lankford Field, Monroe City, Mo.

Monroe City 76, Van-Far 16: The top-seeded team in Class 1 District 3 had no trouble dispatching the winless Indians. The Panthers built a 24-0 lead in the game’s first four minutes and led 64-0 at halftime. Monroe City (9-1) will face fourth-seeded Brentwood (6-4) in next Friday’s district semifinals. Brentwood eliminated Louisiana 38-36.

At Ewing, Mo.

Highland 60, Paris 0: The first home playoff game in the Cougars’ history went so well, they get the chance to host another. Robert Goehl scored two rushing touchdowns in the first quarter and Drew Mallett added two on the ground as well as the second-seeded Cougars advanced to the Class 1 District 6 semifinals. Highland (7-3) will face third-seeded Westran (5-5), which beat Salisbury 29-12.

Women’s Soccer

At Normal, Ill.

Heartland 2, John Wood Community College 0: The top-seeded Hawks advanced to the region championship game, scoring in the 17th minute and off a free kick in the 87th minute. Trail Blazers freshman goalkeeper Maddie Hill made 13 saves. 

Women’s Volleyball

At Collins Center, Baldwin City, Kan.

Baker d. Culver-Stockton College: Abby Godwin had 15 kills and Madison McClain had a double-double with 12 kills and 10 digs, but the Wildcats suffered a 25-18, 25-17, 19-25, 25-21 loss in Heart of America Athletic Conference action. C-SC is 9-19 overall and 5-12 in the Heart.
