Central 58, Triopia 20: Issac Genenbacher rushed for 195 yards and two touchdowns as the second-ranked Panthers scored 30 or more points for the fifth time in six games. Central (5-1) is now tied for the Western Illinois Valley Conference North Division lead with Beardstown at 3-1.
At Beardstown, Ill.
Unity-Payson 12, Beardstown 0: Riker Triplett’s blocked punt which he returned 31 yards for a touchdown in the third quarter punctuated the Mustangs’ Western Illinois Valley Conference North Division victory. Cecil Hunt gave the Mustangs a 6-0 lead in the second quarter with an 18-yard scoring run. Unity is 4-2 overall and 2-2 in the WIVC North.
At Pittsfield, Ill.
Pittsfield 29, New Berlin 0: A pair of 62-yard rushing touchdowns and a fumble recovery for a touchdown in the first four minutes of the second half propelled the Saukees to the Sangamo Conference victory. The Saukees are 3-3 overall.
At Pleasant Hill, Ill.
Calhoun 22, Pleasant Hill 8: The Warriors earned their first win of the season with the Western Illinois Valley Conference South Division victory. The Wolves are 1-5.
At Brookfield, Mo.
Brookfield 14, Monroe City 6: The Bulldogs scored twice in the fourth quarter to hand the No. 3-ranked team in Class 1 its first loss of the season. Kyle Hays threw a 13-yard touchdown pass to Cade Chapman in the second quarter for a 6-0 lead in the Clarence Cannon Conference game. The Panthers are now 5-1.
At Palmyra, Mo.
Palmyra 41, Clark County 0: The Panthers evened their record at 3-3 with a dominant Clarence Cannon Conference victory. Nolyn Richards’ 1-yard touchdown run punctuated a 21-0 halftime lead.
At Centralia, Mo.
Centralia 41, Highland 6: The Cougars were unable to knock off one of the Clarence Cannon Conference heavyweights on the road.
At Wright City, Mo.
Mark Twain 52, Wright City 7: The Tigers bounced back from their first loss with an emphatic Eastern Missouri Conference victory. Mark Twain is 5-1 overall.
Boys Soccer
At Burlington, Iowa
Great River Classic: Quincy Notre Dame and Quincy High School both suffered setbacks on the second day of the three-day event.
The Raiders suffered a 3-1 loss to Washburn (Kan.) Rural, falling behind 2-0 in the first 15 minutes. Tanner Anderson cut the deficit in half when he scored off a Ben Frericks assist with 19 minutes remaining in the first half, but the Raiders couldn’t generate much else.
The Blue Devils suffered a 2-1 loss to Morton. It is Quincy’s third straight loss.

At Legends Stadium, Quincy
Indianapolis 2, Quincy University 1: The nation’s No. 1-ranked team needed a goal with less than two minutes remaining in regulation to earn the Great Lakes Valley Conference road victory. Cole Hays gave the Hawks a 1-0 lead with a goal off a Grant Higgins assist in the 18th minute.
The Greyhounds scored the equalizer in the 23rd minute, before Alejandro Steinwasher scored in the 89th minute with a shot into the lower right corner for his third game-winning goal of the season. The Greyhounds outshot the Hawks 13-4 overall and allowed just one shot on goal. Quincy falls to 4-4-1 overall and 2-3-1 in the GLVC.

At Legends Stadium, Quincy
Indianapolis 1, Quincy University 0: A foul in the penalty area less than two minutes into the second overtime led to the game-deciding penalty kick for the No. 22 Greyhounds. Emily LeBlanc’s foul led to Kiki Sauceda’s PK at the 101:49 mark. UIndy outshot Quincy 24-9 overall and 13-1 on goal. The Hawks’ Olivia Kindt made 11 saves. The Hawks are 3-5 overall and 2-4 in Great Lakes Valley Conference play.
Women’s Volleyball
At Springfield, Ill.
Illinois-Springfield d. Quincy University: The Hawks saw their three-match win streak snapped with a 25-23, 25-11, 17-25, 25-21 loss in Great Lakes Valley Conference play, Emily Rehagen led the Hawks with 18 kills, while Elizabeth Lightner and Emma Wijnbergen had 10 kills apiece. Kailey Owsley finished with 18 digs. QU is 6-8 overall.
At Kehl Center, Dubuque, Iowa
Clarke d. Culver-Stockton College: The Wildcats suffered a 25-21, 25-6, 25-21 loss in Heart of America Athletic Conference play. Heleine Filipe had nine kills for C-SC, which is 6-11 overall and 2-4 in the Heart.
