CHATHAM, Ill. — The first time through the lineup Friday afternoon, the Chatham Glenwood softball team found Quincy Notre Dame left-handed hurler Caitlin Bunte impossible to hit.

The second time through, the Titans figured her out.

The first three hitters in the bottom of the fourth inning each singled and Glenwood’s Cassandra Feld followed with a double, leading to a four-run frame that carried the Titans to a 5-0 victory and the Raiders’ first loss of the season.

QND had started the season 11-0, while Glenwood won 12 straight games to open the season before a one-run loss to Edwardsville and is now 15-1 overall.

Titans pitcher Irie Lohrenz kept the Raiders’ offense in check, striking out 13, walking two and allowing just two hits — singles by Abbey Schreacke and Payton Stupavsky.

Lohrenz allowed two baserunners in the first three innings as Caitlin Bunte walked twice. In the fourth, Schreacke led off with a single, but the Raiders couldn’t do anything with it. After Glenwood scored four times in the fourth, QND got a one-out single in the fifth from Stupavsky, but Lohrenz retired the final eight batters she faced.

Bunte struck out seven, walked none and allowed eight hits.
