Raiders share scoring wealth in whitewashing of Rockets in WCC road game
RUSHVILLE, Ill. — The unselfishness that leads to offensive balance was on display Saturday night, and it’s going to have to become a hallmark of the Quincy Notre Dame boys basketball team in order for the Raiders to make a deep postseason push.
The Raiders had four players finish in double figures, saw 11 different players score overall and completed 78-41 West Central Conference whitewashing of Rushville-Industry.
QND (19-8) scored 29 points in the first quarter and 55 in the first half. It led to a 41-point advantage.
Charlie Lavery made three 3-pointers in the second quarter and led the Raiders with 17 points, while Jake Wallingford made a trey as part of a nine-point first quarter as he finished with 14 points. Alex Connoyer added 12 points and Jackson Stratton scored 10.
The Raiders finish their home slate Tuesday night with a WCC battle against West Hancock at The Pit.
