Quincy Shootout: Vashon starts, finishes lambasting Modesto Christian with defensive bookends

QUINCY — The No. 1-ranked boys basketball team in Missouri Class 4 showed once again why it is on its way to winning another state championship.

Vashon used balanced scoring and dynamite defensive efforts to bookend a 60-41 victory over Modesto Christian on Saturday in the Quincy Shootout at Blue Devil Gym. Modesto Christian was limited to seven points in both the first and fourth quarters.

Kennard Davis Jr. led the Wolverines with 17 points, while Christian Williams added 12. B.J. Davis led the Crusaders with 17 points, while Jalen Brown added 16.
