Quincy Shootout: Murray-Boyles dominates paint for Wasatch Valley

QUINCY — Wasatch Valley senior forward Collin Murray-Boyles couldn’t be stopped.

The 6-foot-7 South Carolina signee dominated the paint Saturday against Bergen Catholic during the Quincy Shootout at Blue Devil Gym, flushing three dunks in the first half and four overall as part of a 20-point effort in the Tigers’ 65-48 victory.

Murray-Boyles scored 18 points in the first half, 16 coming in the lane, and helped Wasatch Valley build a 42-19 halftime lead. Bergen Catholic scored only eight points in the second quarter with just two field goals made — both 3-pointers by Tyler McQuaid.

Terry Copeland finished with 17 points for Bergen, while RJ Jones scored 14 points for Wasatch Valley.
