QUINCY — Abbey Schreacke has been the most dominant player on the court nearly every game this season.

So it came as no surprise when she was the leading vote-getter for the Associated Press Class 2A all-state teams, which were released Wednesday.

The 5-foot-10 junior guard topped a list of five first-team standouts, three of which led their teams to this weekend’s state final four at Illinois State University’s Redbird Arena in Bloomington. Schreacke finished with 104 points from balloting of sports writers and sportscasters from across the state.

This is the second year in a row Schreacke has been the leading vote-getter in Class 2A and she is the only player in QND history to top the all-state list.

Schreacke is averaging 25.2 points and 7.9 rebounds, while shooting 45.8 percent from 3-point range, 55.5 percent from the field overall and 77.7 percent from the line. She also averages 3.3 assists and 2.3 steals per game.

QND (28-3) faces Pana (35-1) in the state semifinals at 2:30 p.m. Thursday.

Joining Schreacke on the first team are Winnebago’s Miyah Brown, Pana’s Jillian Hamilton and Chicago Noble Butler’s Camille Jackson and Xamiya Walton.

Illini West senior guard Caydee Kirkham was named to the second team. Kirkham averaged 18 points, 4.2 assists, 3.6 rebounds and 3.5 steals while leading the Chargers to a 30-3 record and a regional championship.

In Class 1A, Brown County junior Klare Flynn received honorable mention. Flynn averaged 16.3 points and 4.5 rebounds in leading the Hornets to a regional championship.
