QUINCY — The Quincy Notre Dame boys and girls basketball teams have a new broadcast home.

The school announced the creation of the Raider Sports Network, which will live stream QND basketball games this winter. The first game on the network will be Thursday’s girls basketball game at Hardin Calhoun.

The boys basketball season kicks off Nov,. 24 at home against McCluer.

“We simply felt like the time was right for us to create an athletic streaming option within QND,” QND athletic director Bill Connell said in a press release. “We have found the right mix, and we were lucky enough for a few key sponsors to share in our vision.”

All games played at QND’s home venue — The Pit — will feature audio and video. All road games will feature audio only.

Eric Ervin, an Illinois Basketball Coaches Association Hall of Fame inductee with 30 years of broadcast experience, will provide the play-by-play for all games.

Fans can access the network online at qndlive.org.

“We are excited to get this going and give our fans the opportunity to cheer on the Raiders,” Connell said. “We do anticipate some flexibility as we find our footing, but we look forward to this new venture and the potential to grow the network in the future.”
