QUINCY — A change to the preseason format from Illinois High School Association member schools allowed football teams to engage in 48-play, controlled scrimmages Friday night for what were being called “Week Zero” games ahead of next Friday’s season openers.

Quincy Notre Dame and Decatur St. Teresa went head-to-head at Advance Physical Therapy Field, while Quincy High School stuck to the traditional blue-and-white scrimmage at Flinn Stadium.
