QUINCY — Leo Cann didn’t give the Abingdon-Avon boys soccer team the chance to get settled.

If Quincy Notre Dame can do the same thing to Roanoke-Benson come Friday night, another regional championship should be added the Raiders’ treasure trove of titles.

Cann, the junior forward, scored less than three minutes into Tuesday’s regional semifinal at Advance Physical Therapy Field, added his second goal 52 seconds later and finished with a hat trick in the Raiders’ 7-0 victory. Cole Henkenmeier, Jacob Vincent, Jake Schisler and Brock Krueger each scored a goal for QND.

In the other semifinal, Roanoke-Benson scored twice in the first half and posted a 4-1 victory over Macomb.

Top-seeded QND (13-6-2) and fourth-seeded Roanoke-Benson (10-8-1) will meet at 5 p.m. Friday for the regional championship. QND has won 20 regional titles in the past 40 seasons.
