QUINCY — Opening day for the Quincy High School and Quincy Notre Dame baseball teams showed what fans have come to expect from both programs — grit, tenacity and tight games in the city series.
After both teams dropped their season openers to Springfield Sacred Heart-Griffin, QND took the upper hand in the city rivalry with a 5-4 victory Saturday afternoon at QU Stadium.
