COLUMBIA, Mo. — The final game of a three-day event showcasing high school girls basketball ended up being a thrilling conclusion for the organizers, sponsors and fans of the inaugural Sophie Cunningham Classic at Columbia College’s Southwell Complex.

However, it didn’t end quite the way the Quincy Notre Dame girls basketball team would have liked.

The Raiders, the defending Class 2A state champions and currently the state’s No. 1-ranked team, suffered a 65-58 loss to Columbia Rock Bridge despite Abbey Schreacke scoring 32 points and breaking the QND career scoring record in the process.
