QUINCY — Maybe the presence of three decades of alumni gave the Quincy Notre Dame girls soccer team a boost.

Trailing Burlington (Iowa) 2-1 in the second half Saturday afternoon at Advance Physical Therapy Field, the Raiders responded with a three-goal rally for a 4-2 victory. Sophomore forward Addie Flesch scored three goals, including the game-winner, while junior forward Makayla Patton had a goal and two assists.

The victory snapped a three-game skid as QND improved to 3-4 overall.

The game was part of a celebration of soccer in which former players over the previous 34 seasons were recognized at halftime and took part in a skills competition after the varsity game. Former coach Mark Longo, who helped start the program in 1990, and several of his former assistant coaches were in attendance as well.
