QUINCY — The Quincy High School boys basketball team’s path to the championship of the Collinsville Prairie Farms Holiday Classic is filled with obstacles.

That starts with playing the final game of the opening round.

The Blue Devils (7-0) drew Alton (1-6) in the 9 p.m. game in the first round, the last of eight games to be played December 28 at Vergil Fletcher Gym. A second-round matchup with either Troy Triad (7-2) or Collierville, Tenn., (7-2) awaits.

Should the Blue Devils reach the tourney semifinals, another epic matchup with Collinsville could be in the making. The Kahoks are 6-2 and split two games with the Blue Devils last season — winning 49-34 in the third-place game of the holiday tournament and losing 34-32 in the sectional semifinals on Ralph Wires’ buzzer-beater.

On the opposite side of the bracket, Belleville East is 7-0, Decatur MacArthur is 7-0, Lincoln is 7-1 and O’Fallon is 6-2.

The tournament runs Dec. 28-30 and all games will be streamed on the Kahok Sports Network on YouTube.

Here is a look at the complete bracket:
