Four Quincy University wrestlers named Scholar All-Americans by NWCA
QUINCY — The National Wrestling Coaches Association (NWCA) announced the recipients of the 2025 NCAA Division II Men’s Scholar All-American Awards on Monday, April 7, naming four Quincy University men’s wrestlers as Scholar All-Americans.
Requirements for consideration for NWCA Scholar All-American status are:
- an All-American placement at the DII National Championships with a 3.00 GPA,
- national qualification to the DII National Championships with a 3.25 GPA,
- or competed in four or more events with a 3.5 GPA.
For a second time in their careers, Logan Colbert, a 184-pound senior, and Sabian Russell, a 141-pound sophomore, became NCWA Scholar All-Americans. They were joined by Callan Ivy, a 197-pound junior, and Dalton Schell, a 184-pound sophmore.
The men’s wrestling squad had three honorees a season ago, and the Hawks’ first NWCA Scholar All-American in Isaac Bourge back in the program’s first season in 2022-23.
