QUINCY — Quincy High School girls basketball Brad Dance talked throughout the preseason about how he felt his squad was going to shoot the ball better and score at a much higher rate.

When the curtain opened on a new season Tuesday night, the Blue Devils backed that up.

Four players finished in double figures as Quincy rolled to a 68-31 victory over Jacksonville at the QHS gym.

The Blue Devils led 25-7 at the end of the first quarter as six different players scored. As expected, the offense ran inside-out with junior forward Taylor Fohey getting paint touches. She finished with 14 points with Asia Seangmany scoring 12 and Laela Dade and Bri Lannerd each adding 10.

Overall, the Blue Devils had nine players score with 28 of their 29 field goals coming inside the 3-point stripe. Sydney Welsh made Quincy’s lone trey in the first quarter.
