QUINCY — The Quincy University football team’s struggles within the Great Lakes Valley Conference since the league introduced football as a championship sport have been well-documented.

That narrative is changing. The Hawks finished the GLVC season with a 5-3 record, marking the first time they have won more than four games in league play ever.

Heading into Saturday’s regular-season finale at Missouri Western, Quincy coach Jason Killday joined Muddy River Sports Editor Matt Schuckman on the tailgate of his pickup to discuss the Hawks’ conference record and how his first season at the helm has gone for this episode of “Schuck on a Truck,” brought to you by Shottenkirk Toyota.
