CAMP POINT, Ill. — The Central football players have traded cut-off t-shirts and shorts for stocking caps and sweatshirts. When that takes place, something more significant has, too.

In this case, the Panthers have reached the Class 1A state semifinals for the fourth time in program history. Central (12-0) travels for the first time this season for a 1 p.m. matchup Saturday with Colfax Ridgeview-Lexington and a trip to Champaign at stake.

Central coach Brad Dixon joined Muddy River Sports Editor Matt Schuckman on the tailgate of his pickup truck to discuss the state semifinal game, this team’s character and the joy coaching in 30-degree weather brings for this week’s episode of “Schuck on a Truck,” brought to you by Area Distributors.
